When in a fight, you want to be right. At least, that is what the monk Abt Emo wanted back in the year 1211. He decided to walk from Wittewierum to Rome in order to see the Pope so he could prove himself right. It took him a year to get back and forth. A monk with principles, don’t you think? We made a walking path of stepping stones to honour this remarkable trip. Every stone symbolizes one of the towns Abt Emo visited during his walk.
